Rochelle Guiton is from Luling, Louisiana, a small town near New Orleans. Rochelle joins D. Miller & Associates, PLLC with a background in criminal prosecution and civil justice. She now continues the fight for justice with the Litigation Team, as a sexual assault civil attorney. Rochelle holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism with a Double Minor in both English and Vocal Performance from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. After her undergraduate studies, she went to and graduated from Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. During her time in Law School, she was a member of the Moot Court Team and also received commendations in Civil Law, Common Law, and International Law. After receiving her Juris Doctorate she successfully became licensed to practice law in both Louisiana and Texas. In 2010 she was hired as a trial attorney with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. Over the course of nine plus years, she was promoted to Felony Chief Prosecutor. She tried several cases to verdict involving drugs, family violence, aggravated assaults, sexual assaults, and more. She secured a number of life sentences for serious, violent offenders. She is most proud of her work advocating for child victims, with the Children’s Advocacy Center. At the center, she was responsible for prosecuting the highest level of sexual assault offenses for child victims under the age of ten years old. She also served as the Chief Prosecutor of the Child Exploitation Division. This division is responsible for prosecution of Online Solicitation of a Minor, Child Pornography, Sexual Performance, Child Exploitation, and Human Trafficking. As the Chief Prosecutor of this division she was a part of the combined efforts of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance. She is also on the board for Redeemed Ministries, a non-profit organization that provides restoration services to adult survivors of human trafficking.
