Giving back to the community we protect is at the heart of what we do. Our team recently spent an incredible day volunteering with West Houston Assistance Ministries (WHAM), a wonderful local nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting families in need throughout the Greater Houston area.
During our time at the food pantry, we jumped straight into their daily food distribution line, ensuring local families received fresh, nutritious groceries. We also spent hours behind the scenes sorting, organizing, and preparing the warehouse for future donation drives. It was a hands-on effort to help streamline WHAM’s incredible daily operations.
Building a stronger, more supportive community takes teamwork. We are proud to stand alongside organizations like WHAM to help combat food insecurity and provide vital resources to our neighbors when they need them most.

We were recently honored to participate in Career Day at Goodman Elementary, where our founding partner, Darren Miller, had the opportunity to mentor and inspire the next generation of leaders. It was a privilege to join a diverse group of local professionals to share insights into the legal field and discuss the importance of education and perseverance with multiple classes. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated school counselors for their exceptional hospitality and to the impressive student ambassadors who expertly escorted us throughout the day. Engaging with our local schools is a cornerstone of our firm’s mission, and we are proud to support the bright futures of students within the Aldine ISD community.
At D. Miller & Associates, PLLC, serving our community goes beyond the courtroom. This year, to kick off the year, we partnered with United Way of Greater Houston for the MLK Book Drive. Together, our team proudly raised more than 155 books for local students, helping build home libraries filled with diverse stories and meaningful voices. Through this effort, we aimed to ensure that children have access to books that reflect their experiences, inspire confidence, and encourage a lifelong love of reading. We are grateful to our staff and partners who helped make this impact possible.

Our team believes that every child deserves the tools they need to succeed in the classroom, and this annual back-to-school donation drive is one way we invest in the future of our community.
